Residents of Rossendale House Enjoy Outing to the Movies!

Residents of Rossendale House Care Home, Jean, Brian, Maureen, Branda, and Earnie recently had the opportunity of going on an excursion to the cinema in Burnley to watch the new Indiana Jones movie. The residents, accompanied by staff members Hollie and Denisa, were all very excited to go and see the new release.

Before heading to the cinema, the group stopped for some light snacks with plenty of popcorn and other refreshments for everyone. Arriving to the cinema, the residents and staff were welcomed warmly and given comfortable seats for them to settle into as they waited for the movie to begin.

Staff Hollie and Denisa found the residents to be completely captivated by the movie, leaving them wide-eyed and filled with smiles and talk throughout the duration of the film.

When asked how the group found their afternoon out, resident Jean commented on how she hadn’t been to the cinema in years: “It was great to go out and do something different, I haven’t done in years. I especially enjoyed watching a movie that we could all relate to. It really made for a great experience!”

While resident Earnie commented on how enjoyable the outing was: “The movie was a bit too loud for me, but I still really liked it. It was nice to have an outing and do something different together as a group.”

Overall, the outing to Reel Cinema Burnley was a great success, with everyone in the group having a wonderful time. It was a great opportunity for all the residents and staff of Rossendale House Care Home to make some amazing memories.
