Beryl was the second resident to move into Sid Bailey and celebrated her 87th Birthday. This was the first birthday Sid Bailey has celebrated since opening in Spring this year, it was a joyous occasion for all involved.
Beryl had visits from staff, family and friends who brought with them an array of cards, presents and beautiful flowers. Chef Mathew McCreadie baked a birthday cake, all staff and residents sang happy birthday to Beryl following a Birthday Afternoon Tea.
Beryl is a popular resident who is loved by all and has welcomed new residents to the home by offering her friendship. Beryl was surprised to receive such wonderful birthday wishes and couldn’t thank the staff enough for the effort they made for her special day. Beryl especially enjoyed the cake and sharing this with her friends and family.
When visitor’s come in to look around Sid Bailey, Beryl always tells them how nice it is and chats with the visitors letting them know how wonderful the home is, from the luxury facilities, to the delicious home-cooked meals, across to the array of activities provided.
Beryl and her friends at Sid Bailey are now looking forward to celebrating upcoming events and starting the plans towards the festive Season where Sid Bailey are taking part in Danforth Care Homes’ 31 Days of Christmas and will be joining in making Christmas decorations.
Before the excitement of Christmas starts however, Sid Bailey are welcoming local Reverand Charles Burton to deliver a service for residents and the local community alongside hosting an afternoon tea and collecting donations for the local foodbank. The Harvest Festival which is taking place on 3rd October 14:00-16:00 is another activity the residents’ and passionate staff are looking forward to hosting and celebrating.
