Broadlands Lodge Delights Community with Sweet Coffee and Cake Mornings

Residents, visitors, and staff at Broadlands Lodge Care Home recently enjoyed a Cake and Coffee morning with a difference – one that featured a delectable cake baked by the home's very own residents.

This Tuesday marked the weekly event which begins at 10am and runs through to midday. As per tradition, visitors at Broadlands Lodge had the chance to come together for a friendly chat, explore the luxury home’s facilities, and meet both the fantastic team and the lovely residents.

In a delightful twist this time around, five of the residents, Marie Bales, John Payne, Peter Harris, Nora Spencer, and Peter Reeves, spent some time baking a scrumptious Victoria Sandwich for all to enjoy.

Not only was the warm, welcoming atmosphere lauded by visitors, but the cake was given a great deal of appreciation too. Resident Peter Harris said that baking the cake “was a lot of fun”, while another resident said it was “lovely and scrumptious”.

The Cake and Coffee morning is a big hit at the home, showing how Broadlands Lodge continues to provide a delightful, sociable atmosphere for all who attend.
