Armchair Travel to China at Pear Tree House
On Monday, Pear Tree House hosted an Armchair Travel to China Day. The students
of UCLan Confucius Institute visited the home, creating an immersive experience for residents, staff, family, and friends.
Everyone, including the staff who dressed up in character, was given a tour of Chinese history and culture, accompanied by thesounds of traditional Chinese instruments.
Each resident had their own passport, ready to be stamped as they "travelled" to a different country each month.
The day was a delightful journey back in time, filled with cultural learning and enjoyment, leaving everyone eager for the
next destination on their world tour.
