Primrose House celebrated resident Gwilym’s birthday in grand style with a vibrant array of colourful balloons and hanging balloon arches.
The festivities kicked off with a spirited game of pin the tail on the donkey. Each resident was blindfolded andassisted by staff to ensure the game was within easy reach. It was a remarkably close contest, with Angela emerging as the winner, to the applause of everyone.
Next, residents enjoyed a game of pass the parcel. Party music played as the parcel was passed around, and when the music stopped at random intervals, each resident unwrapped a layer of paper to reveal a small gift, which was quickly enjoyed.
These stimulating games proved to be a fantastic way to enhance fine motor skills and social interaction.
Angela then suggested a fun challenge of singing nursery rhymes, where residents had to finish the lyrics after hearing only part of the rhyme. This activity was incredibly entertaining and tested everyone’s memory of traditional rhymes.
After hours of fun and games, everyone sat down to a delicious buffet featuring quiches, satays, pork pies, honey mustard sausages, and of course, a homemade birthday cake to top off the celebration.
The day was filled with laughter, competition, and delightful treats, making Gwilym’s birthday a memorable
event for all at Primrose House.
