Rossendale House Hosts a BBQ for England vs Denmark
To celebrate the England vs Denmark Euros football match, Rossendale House hosted a BBQ, bringing residents together to support the Lions. The weather cooperated beautifully, with the clouds clearing and the sun shining bright.
After lunch, residents ventured into the garden, enjoying the sunshine, exploring the variety of plants, and experiencing the sensory delights of the garden. They relaxed on the garden furniture, singing along to classic songs and bonding with new and old friends alike.
As BBQ time approached, Emily presented a 1950s diner-style menu, sparking fun conversations about American accents. Residents tried
their hand at impersonations, resulting in plenty of laughter.
Chris and Dawid, our amazing catering team, set up the BBQ, offering steak burgers and hotdogs with all the fixings, along with pasta,
salad, sandwiches, and fruit salad. The residents were spoilt for choice and thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
After the BBQ, some residents headed to the cinema room, transformed into the Euros room, to watch the match, while others
stayed outside, savouring the sun and engaging in conversations over a glass of wine.
Every resident came out to enjoy the garden, a significant achievement as some usually prefer staying in their rooms. The
Euros and the sun brought everyone together for a memorable day.
Danforth Care Homes are currently welcoming residents, If you or a loved one wish to find out more information or come along, explore the facilities, and meet the staff, you can do so by contacting the enquiry team.
