Heatherton House has always valued the incredible support provided by Dementia UK to its residents and their families. Recognising the importance of giving back, the home has organised a week-long tea and cake morning, alongside a raffle, to raise funds for this vital charity.
Throughout the week, the atmosphere at Heatherton House has been filled with warmth and generosity. Staff members have enthusiastically contributed by bringing in gifts for the raffle, showing their dedication to supporting Dementia UK. Residents, their families, and staff have all come together to enjoy delicious homemade cakes and a variety of teas, creating a delightful setting for a worthy cause.
The tea and cake mornings have not only been a wonderful way to raise funds but also an opportunity for the community to bond over shared experiences and support. Conversations have flowed as easily as the tea, with many sharing personal stories of how Dementia UK has made a significant difference in their lives.
Heatherton House hopes to raise as much money as possible to ensure Dementia UK can continue offering their unique and much-needed support. The generosity and participation so far have been heart warming, reflecting the strong sense of community and compassion that defines Heatherton House.
