‘Stuffed with Love’ bear spends the day with the charity Sunflowers and Old Norse Lodge
In a heartwarming and memorable outing, the cherished yet unnamed and undressed “Stuffed with Love” bear from Old Norse Lodge Care Home set out on an endearing adventure to join the young members of 'Sunflowers'. The Bear's presence added an extra touch of magic to the day, delighting children and parents alike.
With special permission granted, the bear eagerly embarked on its journey to participate in a craft session organized by 'Sunflowers'. This local initiative brought together children and parents, fostering a creative and nurturing environment where imaginations could run wild.
As the craft session unfolded, the bear's boundless enthusiasm and charm quickly endeared it to all in attendance. Laughter filled the air as children and parents worked side by side, sharing stories and crafting together. The Bear, a silent but joyful participant, added an extra layer of camaraderie to the occasion.
The highlights of the day were undoubtedly the moments of pure connection. The bear, embodying the spirit of love and companionship, offered warm cuddles to the children, spreading smiles and happiness wherever it went. The simple act of being present and sharing affection resonated deeply with both the young participants and their parents.
Adding to the day's magic, the bear had the chance to become even more unique by having a T-shirt made. This personalised touch solidified the Bear's place as a cherished companion and a symbol of the heartwarming connections formed at Old Norse Lodge Care Home.
The care home was honoured to share the bear's adventures with the 'Sunflowers' community, capturing the joyous moments through photographs that would be treasured for years to come. The bear's presence served as a bridge between generations, a testament to the power of shared experiences and the profound impact of genuine companionship.
As the day came to a close, the bear returned to Old Norse Lodge Care Home, carrying with it the memories of a day well spent and hearts touched by the beauty of human connection. The story of the bear's outing to join 'Sunflowers' would forever be a cherished chapter in the care home's legacy, a reminder of the enduring magic that can be found in the simplest of moments.
Old Norse Lodge is delighted to launch 'Stuffed with Love', a project to bridge the generational gap between the local community and its residents. By donating just £1, you can choose a name for our special teddy bear and create meaningful connections. All proceeds go to Sunflowers Children's Action Group, the charity chosen by Old Norse Lodge’s residents.
Sunflowers Children's Action Group desire is to collaborate closely with nearby hospitals, hospices, outreach services, and nurses. The aim is to offer support in impacting positive change for the children in their care as well, acknowledging the challenging circumstances they often undergo. The opportunity to bring a glimmer of joy to an unwell child is something that doesn't occur frequently.
