International Poetry Day at Broadlands Lodge

Recently, the residents at Broadlands Lodge celebrated International Poetry Day with a special reading and discussion session. The residents read a selection of different poems, including All My Great Excuses by Ken Nesbitt, The Three Little Pigs by Roald Dahl, Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf by Roald Dahl, The Owl & The Pussy Cat by Edward Lear, and Be Glad Your Nose is on Your Face by Jack Prelutsky.

The residents thoroughly enjoyed the session, with many of them remarking that they had never heard the poems before and were surprised at how entertaining they were. One resident, who had been living at Broadlands Lodge for a few months, said “I had no idea there were so many enjoyable poems out there! This was a great way to spend International Poetry Day.”
