On Friday 18th November children and adults across the UK worked to raise money to support Children in Need. The money raised helps to fund organisations and project workers that provide vital services, resources, and relationships that children need to help them navigate the hardships and challenges in their lives. Children in Need helps to fund thousands of charities and projects across the country that support children and young people to have safer lives, equal opportunities, positive role models and improved mental health.
Since 1980 this cause has raised over £1.5 billion for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
This year the team members at Broadlands Lodge wanted to do their bit and help towards raising money for such a wonderful cause. All team members were asked to wear pyjamas and donate money to the cause, cakes and face painting were also available throughout the day.
Here at Broadlands Lodge, we always want to do our part in supporting those in need. Just knowing that our efforts make a small difference in the lives of others is extremely rewarding.
Our team members and residents will continue to fundraise for charities and special events, please keep your eyes peeled for anything you can do to join in or support.
