On June 13th, Primrose House joyously celebrated its first-year milestone with a lively bash filled with laughter, reflection, and delightful activities. The occasion was marked with favourite mocktails such as Cosmopolitan, On the Beach, Passion Fruit Martini, and Pina Colada, adding to the festive spirit.
Staff took a moment to reflect on Primrose House's achievements over the past year, celebrating both growth and the challenges overcome together. The celebration was a testament to the collective pride in what Primrose House has become. Residents who have been with Primrose House from the beginning shared their journeys and how living there has positively impacted their lives.
Heartwarming feedback from residents highlighted the passion and commitment of the staff in their roles. The festivities continued with a fantastic performance by the regular singer, who brought joy, humour, and dancing with classic favourites from the 50s and 60s. Everyone participated in a friendly ring toss game, sparking laughter and camaraderie among residents. This inclusive activity was especially enjoyed by those with disabilities, as it doesn't require standing.
Adding to the fun, staff took on the challenge of learning balloon modelling from scratch, delighting residents as they crafted balloon dogs and swords.
After hours of celebration, a buffet featuring tasty homemade buns prepared by the talented chefs rounded off an unforgettable day of celebration and community at Primrose House.
