Broadlands Lodge Takes Action for Dementia Awareness
As Dementia Action Week approaches, Broadlands Lodge embarked on a heartfelt initiative to support individuals living with dementia and their caregivers. With compassion and dedication, the team organised a fundraising event at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, raising vital funds for dementia services.
Residents poured their creativity into crafting forget-me-not keyrings, each a symbol of remembrance. Alongside these heartfelt tokens, a delicious array of homemade cakes beckoned passers by, enticing them to contribute to the worthy cause.
The community's response was overwhelming, with generous souls flocking to purchase these handmade treasures. Through their collective efforts, a remarkable £320 was raised by the Broadlands Lodge team!
Broadlands Lodge extended their support to the Ingham ward, sharing the remaining cupcakes to bring moments of sweetness to patients and their visitors.
As the day drew to a close, the team reflected on the profound impact of their actions, knowing that every cupcake sold and every keyring crafted had made a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by dementia. Broadlands Lodge stands ready to continue their journey of compassion and advocacy, embodying the spirit of unity and support in their local community.
