An Illuminating Visit from The Deep at Primrose House
On Wednesday, Primrose House residents enjoyed an enlightening visit from Kirsty, who works at The Deep. In the cinema room, Kirsty conducted a workshop called The Lagoon of Light, which showcased the Coral Reef, the fish that inhabit it, and the vital conservation efforts in place to preserve it. The session was both informative and interactive, allowing residents to handle samples, including some coral. Engaged and curious, the residents asked numerous questions, and the workshop left a lasting impression as they continued discussing it the next day.
This event highlighted the social and intellectual benefits of such activities, providing residents with opportunities to learn about the world around them and stay connected with the wider community. The residents had previously expressed interest in The Lagoon of Light during a Resident Meeting, and their enthusiasm was evident throughout the session.
This was the second time The Deep visited Primrose House for an interactive talk. The first visit was a great success, and residents eagerly anticipated another session. The Deep's ongoing development of new outreach material, such as the Lagoon of Light, keeps the content fresh and exciting. Primrose House looks forward to arranging another session with The Deep soon!
