Over the past few weeks, Pear Tree House in Preston welcomed an unexpected yet delightful visitor. This charming feline, who has frequented the grounds day and night, quickly melted the hearts of both residents and staff alike.
To find the cat's family, a post was shared on Facebook. Despite the best efforts, no family came forward. Fortunately, The International Cat Association (TICA) reached out and offered to help. After scanning and treating her, they confirmed she is a Molly (female). A heartwarming naming competition ensued, where the residents and staff could submit their suggestions. The winning name, chosen by our beloved resident Colin, is Iris.
Determined to make Iris feel at home, the staff pooled their resources to purchase a quaint little cat house. Iris has taken to it wonderfully, spending her days basking in the comfort it provides.
In addition, TICA has generously agreed to look after Iris's ongoing health and well-being. This ensures that Iris will be pampered and cared for while enjoying all the love and attention from the Pear Tree House community. The residents find immense joy in her presence, providing them with a sense of companionship and warmth.
This heartwarming story of Iris and the Pear Tree House family is a testament to the caring environment they foster. For families considering a place where their loved ones will be cherished and content, Pear Tree House indeed makes an excellent choice.
