Waterhouse Manor Brings Sweet Support to Ely Baby Bank
Waterhouse Manor in Fordham has extended a helping hand to the local Ely Baby Bank by joining their Thursday cake and coffee mornings. This week marked the start of this heartwarming initiative with a delightful box of brownies prepared by Lily, one of the dedicated Care Assistants at Waterhouse Manor.
The Ely Baby Bank plays an essential role in the community, with around 80 families visiting each session. They hold these sessions twice a week and have made a tremendous impact in 2024 alone. To date, they have welcomed over 3,000 visits, gifted 235 pushchairs, provided 394 tubs of formula, supplied 460 packs of nappies, and donated more than 2,100 bundles of clothes. Waterhouse Manor takes pride in supporting such an important cause and looks forward to contributing with delicious cakes each week.
The sense of community is strong at Waterhouse Manor, and their commitment to local support enhances the trust and warmth they offer to residents and their families. The care and compassion shown by the staff in their personal time reflect the nurturing environment within the home.
Families searching for the perfect place for their loved ones will find assurance in the communal spirit that Waterhouse Manor embodies. Such acts of kindness and support are a testament to the care home's dedication to making a difference both within and outside its walls.
