Therapeutic Gong Bath and Yoga Joy at Harbour Manor
In a delightful turn of events, Harbour Manor care home in Felixstowe recently hosted a unique yoga class and gong bath for its residents, orchestrated by the talented instructor, Lindsey. This was no ordinary day at Harbour Manor; it was a day of wellness, serenity, and smiles.
One heartwarming moment from the event shines brightly. A resident, unable to join the communal yoga session due to mobility issues, was offered a special 1-2-1 gong bath in her room. The soothing and therapeutic sounds of the gong, coupled with gentle vibrations, created a serene atmosphere. It was a truly calming experience for her, right at her bedside. She expressed great joy and appreciation for this thoughtful gesture, embodying the personalised care that Harbour Manor is known for.
Additionally, one of the remarkable highlights of the day was our resident donned in a blue top, who is an incredible 103 years old. She not only completed the entire yoga class with grace but also had the opportunity to play the gong afterwards. Her enthusiasm and participation were truly inspiring, and she thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the class.
Harbour Manor continues to demonstrate that age is just a number, offering tailored activities that cater to the unique needs and preferences of each resident. This event is a testament to the care home's commitment to enhancing the well-being and happiness of its residents.
