Heatherton House in Derby recently held a heartwarming summer fair that brought the entire community together for a noble cause. The staff invited local businesses to set up stalls to promote their products, and the event saw a tremendous turnout from members of the community.
The purpose of the event was twofold: to foster community spirit and support local businesses. Heatherton House wanted to give these businesses a platform to showcase their products while raising funds for a meaningful cause—Children's First Charity. The initiative was a resounding success, with £150 raised for the charity.
The atmosphere was joyful, with visitors enjoying delicious burgers in the garden while shopping from various stalls. The local Police Support Officer (PSO) also attended, adding an extra layer of community support and security.
The event was punctuated by lively music that kept everyone's spirits high. Residents, staff, and visitors alike revelled in the pleasant weather, great food, and the sense of unity that the fair promoted.
Heatherton House is proud to be an active and supportive pillar of the Derby community. Events like these go a long way in not only raising important funds but also in fostering strong community bonds. They demonstrate the home’s commitment to providing a vibrant social environment for its residents while making a positive impact on broader community issues.
Well done to everyone involved for making the day a triumph! The funds raised will undoubtedly help Children's First Charity continue its invaluable work.
