Successful Grand Opening at Meadow Croft Care Home
Despite inclement weather, the grand opening of Meadow Croft Care Home on March 1st, was a resounding success, marked by warmth, community spirit, and celebration.
Diane Langford, Manager of Meadow Croft Care Home, and her dedicated staff welcomed esteemed guests, including Mayor Alan Pearson and his wife, to commemorate this special occasion.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Garstang Community Academy, accompanied by children from year 7, along with Headteacher Mr. Singh and history teacher Mr. Farquarson, graced the event with their presence. They delivered a captivating speech, sharing insights into the history of Garstang, their school, and Meadow Croft Care Home. The highlight of their contribution was the burial of a time capsule, symbolizing a connection between past, present, and future generations. Mayor Pearson, with a sense of pride, ceremoniously covered the capsule with soil, ensuring its preservation for posterity.
Following the formalities, attendees were treated to a delightful buffet prepared by Tracey, the head chef, with assistance from Michelle, one of the senior carers. The culinary spread was enjoyed by all, fostering a sense of camaraderie and conviviality among guests.
The festivities continued with a captivating performance by Sue Armstrong, whose beautiful singing enraptured the audience. The day concluded with lively dancing, adding a touch of merriment to the celebratory atmosphere.
