Broadlands Lodge had the lovely opportunity to welcome Sarah and her husband Barrie de Lara to
our home where they told magical tales from around the world. Our residents were thrilled with this
news and looked forward to hearing the tails.
Sarah and Barrie are storytellers of Norwich and they’ve had the great opportunity to tell stories at
Cambridge Folk Festival, Folk West, London Dreamtime, Playfest, World Ceilidh, and many other
events, and they are founder members of the East Anglian Storytelling Festival.
The couple is well known for their storytelling abilities and have been inspiring the residents and
children of Norwich with their stories. They have been sharing stories of love, courage, and hope,
which have been resonating with the residents.
The enjoyment from listening to a well-told story can be endless because we inevitably draw
comparisons with our own lives, enriching the overall experience.
Everyone at Broadlands Lodge looks forward to welcoming Sarah and Barrie de Lara again.
