Heath Lodge care home gain all-important CQC registration
Heath Lodge celebrated another important milestone this week, with the award of CQC registration for the home. CQC or also known as Care Quality Commission registration, is a crucial step for any new care home as it validates that the home is fit for purpose and has everything in place to look after its residents.
Registration is a legal requirement, which should give residents and families the peace of mind that everything has been independently checked and approved before the doors open.
The all-new purpose-built care home, based in Holt will offer respite or permanent care for 66 residents and will open its doors, to it’s first residents on the 6th of February.
Sharon Plane, the home’s Care Manager explains “We have been working towards registration for a number of months now, and we have all put a great deal of work into getting everything right.”
Carol Preston the Homes Manager added “The whole team has worked exceptionally hard on this and all the plans for opening next week. I think we have an amazing facility, and I cannot wait to greet our first residents next week.”
As part of the preparation plans this week Heath Lodge also welcomed the local fire services. They were treated to a guided tour of the facility and a discussion about Heath Lodge’s fire procedures and general fire safety.
Heath Lodge provides residential care and specialises in dementia care. As a part of the Danforth Care Home Group, they put an emphasis on delivering exceptional care and enhancing quality of life.
