Films and Sunsets at Broadlands Lodge

Residents at Broadlands Lodge were in for a real treat this weekend, as the home's activities team organised a screening of the much-loved movie ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ in their very own cinema.

Our residents were delighted with the surprise showing. The cinema is an enjoyable experience and was designed to recreate the atmosphere of a traditional cinema.

The film, based upon a Sunday Times bestseller, took our residents on a journey to India, with a group of British retirees as they embarked on a new life. Throughout the journey their lives begin to intertwine as they are charmed in unexpected and life-changing ways. 

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the story line, with some relating to the characters and their journeys. 
During the screening, our team served the residents popcorn, sweet boxes and drinks, creating a truly authentic cinema experience.

The residents of Broadlands Lodge were delighted with their cinema experience and are looking forward to many more. 
To finish the day off, our residents were able to see the most beautiful sunset which was truly amazing.
