Sid Bailey Hosts Knitting and Crochet Club for Dementia Awareness
Sid Bailey has introduced a new knitting and crochet club, led by a family member, which meets weekly. Recently, the club crafted beautiful crocheted forget-me-nots for the ‘Time for a Cuppa’ coffee morning in support of Dementia UK.
The coffee morning featured a speaker from Dementia UK, who provided valuable insights into dementia and ways to support those affected. Residents, family, and friends gathered for the event, enjoying cakes specially made for the occasion by care staff member Tom.
This event not only raised awareness about dementia but also helped to raise funds for Dementia UK. So far, Sid Bailey has collected £86.70 for the cause.
