Rossendale House Residents Delight in Art and Dance Day
Rossendale House recently organised a delightful day of exploration and creativity for its residents, as some embarked on a cultural outing while others enjoyed a lively session of dance therapy. The day began with a captivating trip to the Bury Art and Sculpture Museum, arranged by Myley Tours. Residents roamed the galleries, soaking in the beauty of various artworks and sculptures, which offered both sensory and cultural enrichment.
After the museum visit, the group headed to the inviting atmosphere of the Weather Spoons Art House Restaurant for lunch. Once a theatre house, the restaurant charmed the residents with its unique ambiance and delicious meals. Post-lunch, the exploration continued at a nearby garden centre. Here, residents admired the vibrant array of plants and flowers, bringing smiles and conversation amongst each other. Satisfying their sweet tooth, the day concluded with a refreshing ice cream at the garden centre café, where new conversations flourished with fellow café goers.
Back at Rossendale House, the remaining residents participated in a spirited dance therapy session with Elcap. This engaging activity promoted both mobility and sensory stimulation, creating a fun and energetic atmosphere for everyone involved. The day was filled with joy and laughter, illustrating Rossendale House's commitment to providing enriching and enjoyable experiences for all its residents.
