Rossendale House Celebrates Chinese New Year with Joyful Quiz
At Rossendale House in Burnley, the residents recently celebrated a delightful Chinese New Year event. The lounge area buzzed with excitement on Wednesday afternoon as everyone gathered to participate in an engaging quiz, centred around the fascinating aspects of Chinese New Year. Guided by the OOMPH person-centered software, residents teamed up, showcasing their collective wisdom by scoring an impressive 16 out of 20 points.
The quiz was more than just a fun activity; it was an informative journey into Chinese traditions, horoscope history, and age-old tales. The sense of camaraderie and joy was palpable as residents worked together, rekindling their team spirit through engaging questions and shared learning experiences.
Once the quiz wrapped up, the joyful afternoon continued with a delightful spread of traditional Chinese snacks. Dumplings, spring rolls, prawn crackers, and prawn toast were enjoyed by all, adding a tasty touch to the day's festivities.
Doreen Dobson expressed her gratitude, reminiscing, "Thank you so much for the food. I really enjoyed it— I would get a Chinese every payday when I lived at home." Pat Platt also shared, "I was surprised I did enjoy the food, and I learnt so much doing the quiz. It's been so long since I have done a quiz, but Emily made it really fun and interactive."
This memorable event is a shining example of how Rossendale House not only cares for its residents but also enriches their lives with meaningful and joyful activities.
