Residents Enjoy Delightful Day Out at Cannon Hall Farm
Montagu Hall care home in Mexborough recently organised a memorable trip to Cannon Hall Farm, bringing smiles and joy to its residents. This delightful outing was planned by their dedicated Lifestyle Manager, Hannah, following a suggestion during a Residents Meeting.
Five enthusiastic residents boarded the local Doncaster Community Transport Bus, accompanied by Hannah and the supportive care team members Tracey and Patrick. The anticipation and excitement were tangible as they set off on their adventure to the farm.
Upon arrival, the residents were greeted by the picturesque surroundings and a sense of tranquility. They embarked on a leisurely walk around the farm, their faces lighting up as they encountered a variety of friendly animals. From cheeky goats to fluffy alpacas, the farm offered plenty for everyone to marvel at.
A special highlight of the trip was for resident David, who had the unique opportunity to meet Rob and Dave, the well-known faces of Cannon Hall Farm. This encounter left David beaming with happiness and is sure to be an experience he treasures.
Following their engaging tour, the group enjoyed a delightful lunch at the farm's cafe. Conversations flowed easily as they shared their experiences and savoured the delicious food. The cafe's welcoming atmosphere made the meal feel even more special.
The residents expressed how much they enjoyed the visit and many voiced a strong desire to return in the future. Such outings are a testament to the warmth, dedication, and sense of community fostered by the staff at Montagu Hall.
