Recycled Teenagers Event Sparks Joy at Rossendale House
Rossendale House in Burnley recently hosted an event that brought smiles and joy to both residents and the community, known as the Recycled Teenagers Event. This delightful gathering aimed at those young at heart was filled with fun, laughter and camaraderie, making it a memorable occasion for all involved.
The event began with a home-cooked meal where residents and guests shared a delicious lunch together. The main highlight was a quiz conducted by Modern Mobility, a favourite among residents. Everyone gathered in the lounge, forming pairs or trios to tackle 15 challenging questions, followed by a lively picture round and an engaging 'name that tune' segment. Tea and biscuits fuelled their enthusiastic participation. As the scores were tallied, the top three teams were rewarded with a box of sweets, adding a sweet touch to the proceedings.
Following the quiz, residents mingled over another cup of tea, deepening connections with fellow attendees and newcomers alike. This exchange of stories and laughter was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to bond and build friendships.
The afternoon continued with a spectacular performance by Tom, whose renditions of classic hits had everyone tapping their feet. Staff joined residents on the dance floor, ensuring an atmosphere of warmth and celebration enveloped the room.
Rossendale House once again proved to be a place where everyone feels at home, creating cherished memories for all.
