Primrose House Care Home is taking an innovative approach to enriching the lives of their residents by reaching out to the community in order to help fulfil their Bucket List wishes.
Led by the Care Home Manager Andi Barker, their mission is to have all residents have experiences they would never forget, and for many, something they'd never had the opportunity to do. These residents included Janet, Gwilym, Ivy, Barrie, Valerie, Bill, Lawrence, Norma, and June, aged between 65 and 90.
In an ambitious effort to fulfil the bucket list wishes of its residents, Primrose House Care Home is asking for help from the local community. On 21st July, the residents compiled their wish lists which had an array of exciting activities for instance, Janet wishes to see any type of animal, which she would like to pet, Gwilym desires to view some classic cars and be able to have a ride in one, Ivy wants to spend time with a Border Collie, Barrie dreams of riding on the back of a motorbike, Bill and Valerie would love to take a cruise, Lawrence wants to attend a beer festival, Norma wants to see a special breed of kitten, and June wishes look at clothing.
The wonderful team at Primrose House have managed to put all these amazing opportunities their way. Keep your eyes peeled for the social media accounts to see what happens next!! Primrose House is dedicated to helping its residents live a memorable life, and part of that is proving them with an adventure to achieve something they have always wanted to do.
Primrose House is thrilled to launch their amazing new initiative, Stuffed with Love! They are committed to bridging the generational gap between our community and residents and would love for you to join in the fun. For only £1, you have the chance to name our special teddy bear and take part in our mission to foster meaningful relationships between the bear and the local children, as well as with the community.
Let’s come together to honour and support Primrose House chosen charity, Hull Animal Welfare! Your contribution will make all the difference and put smiles on many faces. Visit Primrose House or look out on their Facebook advertisements to find out how to get involved. You can also join in on the fun at their Open Day on 12th August from 10:00-14:00 where the bear who is to be named will also be attending.
