Pear Tree House Resident and Staff Overjoyed to Visit AFC Fylde Stadium
Tracy and Yolanta were warmly welcomed at AFC Fylde. They were presented with their three-course meal which included pate, roast chicken lunch and sticky toffee pudding with custard for dessert. The two thoroughly enjoyed the meal and each other's company.
Care Home Manager Charlene had built a relationship with AFC Fylde before the care home was completed. She had often visited the club and has even advertised in the club's programme. As an appreciation for her efforts, the club had provided Charlene with tickets for the staff and residents to the matches and events that the club hosted.
Victoria, the Care Home's Deputy Manager, wanted to take advantage of the opportunity and take one of the residents out to the club for a meal, and Tracy, one of the residents, gladly agreed.
Tracy couldn't be happier for the experience and can't wait for the season to start to attend some of the games. With the care home and the club's relationship, everyone is grateful for the events and matches that have already been held and those that are yet to come.
"At Pear Tree House Care Home, we take pride in helping our residents connect to the community and experience life to its fullest. Our recent collaboration with AFC Fylde allowed one of our residents, Tracy, to experience a 3-course meal and a visit to the ground. We are appreciative of the hospitality shown by AFC Fylde, and it is reflective of the commitment we strive to make to our residents, providing them with opportunities for social interaction and inclusion. We would like to thank AFC Fylde for this experience and wish them luck in all their upcoming matches."
"Social inclusion is the linchpin of the care home experience. Here at Pear Tree House Care Home, we believe in creating an environment where everyone is included, respected, and valued. Everyone has something unique and worthwhile to contribute, and we make sure to create opportunities for meaningful and enjoyable engagement for our residents and staff alike." Charlene Porter, Care Home Manager.
