The residents and team at Heath Lodge Care Home have recently been in celebratory mood as they have achieved 'good' in all areas, following their recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.
Hazel Madden, Care Home Manager of Heath Lodge, has expressed her absolute delight with the outcome of the inspection: "I am so proud of the team here at Heath Lodge. The results of this inspection is a testament of everyone's hard work and commitment to providing the best level of care to our residents. It is wonderful to have this hard work and effort recognised in such a positive way."
The CQC inspection team praised many features of the service, such as the high quality of the care provided and the strong team of committed staff. The team was also impressed by the spacious, and home-like environment that the service provides. They also noted how all the residents felt supported and well looked after.
Since her appointment, Hazel has lead from the front with confidence, inspiring those around her and leading by example in all areas. She implemented a ‘star of the month’ and ‘hero of the month’ programme which has drawn out the very best in her team, recognizing and celebrating successes and inspiring further dedication. Hazel took the time to get to know her teams, supporting them in their roles and putting in the necessary work to ensure the continued success of Heath Lodge. Furthermore, Hazel also took the time to call on all residents, spending time with them and their families, building relationships and a sense of belonging and home.
As a result of this success, the team at Heath Lodge is looking forward to many more happy and care-filled years with their beloved residents.
