Opening Week Celebration at Primrose House Care Home.
Primrose House Care Home was celebrating last week: after months of hard work and preparation, the care home welcomed its first three residents, and Primrose House held its Grand Opening.
The first two residents were given a very warm welcome by staff on Tuesday, with the third resident joining them both on Thursday evening. Speaking to the team they announced that they were delighted to be in Primrose House Care Home and had settled in very quickly.
The timing of these arrivals couldn’t have been more perfect, as they arrived just in time to join in with the home’s themed Grand Opening: I’m A Celebrity Get Me In Here on Friday 16th June.
Andi Barker Care Home Manager commented “It has been nice to welcome our first residents this week. Our first residents also officially open our home yesterday.”
The Grand Opening had a guided tour with a difference. Andi goes on to explain “Our Residents are our celebrities, that’s where the theme came from really. We thought a tour of the home could also become an interactive experience, to showcase the fun and activities we will be running for our residents. Our visitors all loved the activities and trials. Everyone joined in!”
