Memorable Cinema Trip Delights Montagu Hall Residents
On 4th September, the residents of Montagu Hall Care Home enjoyed a delightful outing that brought immense joy and wonderful memories. Eight residents embarked on a short bus journey to the Savoy Cinema in Doncaster to see “Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra in Maastricht: Power of Love”.
Upon arrival, smiling faces were seen as everyone settled into their seats with drinks and pick & mix treats brought along for the event. The atmosphere was electric with anticipation for the three-hour musical extravaganza that promised to take everyone on an emotional rollercoaster.
The music started, and soon the captivating talent of Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra filled the room. Our residents were immersed in the experience, enjoying every note and every performance. Throughout the show, emotions ran high. At different moments, tears of joy and laughter were seen as the music resonated deeply with each individual.
Although cameras weren't allowed during the screening, the impact on the residents was evident. Hands were held, songs were sung, and even a bit of dancing took place—demonstrating that joy and camaraderie go hand in hand.
Upon returning to Montagu Hall, the residents were brimming with stories of their wonderful afternoon. The outing was such a success that there is already a buzzing excitement for Andre's Christmas Concert: Gold & Silver. A list of keen attendees is being compiled, with residents eagerly looking forward to another magical musical experience.
This delightful day out not only showcased the power of music but also underscored how Montagu Hall is committed to providing enriching experiences that foster bonds, create lasting memories, and bring joy to its cherished residents. Moments like these reassure families that Montagu Hall truly is a perfect place for their loved ones.
