The residents of Meadow Croft enjoyed a super fun and busy day yesterday as they embarked on an imaginative trip to France! They began their adventure by boarding a plane with their passports and boarding passes, experiencing a virtual takeoff and landing. During the flight, they enjoyed in-flight entertainment, including a short documentary about Paris, learning many interesting facts about the city.
Once they "landed," the residents visited a French café, complete with lovely French music. They savoured French onion soup, with the option of a delicious omelette or croissants. After lunch, they explored the French language, surprising themselves with how much they already knew and managing to string sentences together.
The afternoon was filled with crossword puzzles and word searches about France and planes. Taking advantage of the sunny weather, they went into the garden for some outdoor games and refreshments.
For tea, they had a delightful treat, choosing between beef bourguignon or chicken chasseur, both of which were absolutely gorgeous. The day concluded with a screening of the film "Les Misérables," providing a wonderful finish to a wonderful day.
Residents are already eagerly guessing where their next destination will be in August!
