The festive season at Mead Field Manor has officially begun with a heartwarming event that illuminated not only the courtyard but the hearts of residents and their loved ones. Titled the "Big Light Switch On," this event marked the first Christmas celebration at Mead Field Manor in Weston-super-Mare.
In a delightful twist, Clive, the care home's very first resident, had the honour of switching on the Christmas lights. This celebration was even more special as it coincided with Clive’s birthday, filling the evening with double joy.
Surrounded by family, friends, and fellow residents, the anticipation grew as the countdown to the lighting commenced. When the switch was flipped, the courtyard was bathed in a beautiful glow, symbolising not just festive cheer but also the caring and close-knit community that defines Mead Field Manor.
Guests were treated to a selection of festive treats, including mince pies, paired with warm mulled cider and wine. The delightful atmosphere was enriched by the joyful chatter and laughter of those in attendance, making it a memorable evening for all.
Such events highlight the warmth and community spirit at Mead Field Manor, offering assurance to families that their loved ones are in a place of genuine care and celebration.
