Joyful Pet Visits Brighten Seniors' Day at Old Norse Lodge
At Old Norse Lodge in Grimsby, residents were recently treated to some delightful visits from furry friends, bringing warmth and joy to everyone. These special guests included Floss the therapy dog and Sebastian, a playful kitten brought in by our senior carer, Kea.
Floss, with her gentle demeanour and affectionate nature, made an extraordinary impact during her visits. Residents had the chance to pet, cuddle, and spend quality time with Floss. The therapy dog's presence brought smiles, comfort, and a sense of calm to everyone she met. Even those who may have been feeling a little down could not help but grin from ear to ear when Floss was around.
Adding to the excitement, Kea's kitten, Sebastian, also made a special appearance. His curious and playful antics quickly won over the hearts of the residents. Sebastian explored the lounge, pounced on toys, and even curled up in laps, providing warmth and companionship. The joy on the faces of our residents as they interacted with Sebastian was truly heart-warming.
These visits are a testament to Old Norse Lodge's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Therapy animals like Floss and Sebastian offer so much more than just cute moments; they provide therapeutic benefits that include reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, and improving overall emotional well-being.
