Heath Lodge Care Home brought the world of Wonderland to life on Monday, residents were delighted with an unforgettable Alice in Wonderland themed party. Residents had spent the previous day baking delicious jam tarts, in preparation for the occasion.
The effort the staff put into the transformation of Heath Lodge into the Wonderland was beyond immersive, with Mad Hatter decor adorning every corner. The staff fully embraced the theme, dressing up in costumes that added to the festive atmosphere. To kick off the day, residents crafted their own 'Mad Hats,' to be worn throughout the day and at lunch.
Lunchtime was a highlight, with the table set for the Mad Hatter's tea party. Residents proudly wore their handmade hats and enjoyed a delightful meal together, especially the jam tarts they had baked they day before.
The fun continued into the afternoon as Alice, the lifestyle lead, hosted engaging games that had everyone laughing. The day's magical journey concluded in the evening when residents were ushered into the cinema room to watch the classic Alice in Wonderland film, bringing the experience to a perfect close.
