One of our residents at Heath Lodge Care Home was delighted as she received a very special visitor this week. Hillary, one of the care home’s residents, had the pleasure of being reunited with her sister, who had flown in from Canada to see her.
As soon as they laid eyes on one another the two embraced in a loving hug; it had been five years since they had last been together. The two sisters enjoyed spending quality time together back at their family home, making the most of the sunshine and having a delicious lunch. Hillary was overjoyed to have her sister by her side, and the team at Heath Lodge felt privileged to have been able to be a part of this heart-warming reunion.
The rest of the week at Heath Lodge has been full of joy as Hillary and her sister’s reunion brought a smile to the faces of all the staff members, carers, and residents. It is events like this that demonstrate the incredible care and respect that the staff at Heath Lodge provide to all those in their care.

"Love conquers all, and when family comes into the equation, even greater things are possible. It's truly amazing to witness the reunion of two souls after so long apart." - Jan Gibbs, Regional Manager for Heath Lodge Care Home
