At Primrose House the dedicated team members are always looking for exciting activities to take part in. Over the last week residents have welcomed their new Lifestyle Manager who will dedicate her time to delivering meaningful activities for the residents at Primrose House.
Residents were delighted to work with the new Lifestyle Lead in creating their activities planner for the week. Assembling together within one of the lovely communal lounges whilst enjoying some delicious home-made bakes, the brainstorming began.
The first activity the residents decided to undertake was an exhilarating session of Chair Fitness whilst everybody danced and sang along to ABBA Greatest hits. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the chair fitness session and being able to show their best moved.
Following a day of rest, residents were excited to explore further activities, this time opting for a wellness morning which saw residents enjoying seated Pilates. It is important residents practice fitness as it keeps them mobile, more balanced and is a fantastic way to maintain a great quality of life. This was just another of the many activities the residents have already participated in and a small insight into future activities and events which the residents will embark on.
Another session which Primrose House resident’s dived into was a therapeutic art session. Many residents joined in with some painting, and many artists became apparent when reviewing some of the lovely designs residents had painted. It was apparent this should become a regular activity on the Primrose House lifestyle plans following the enjoyment this brought to so many,
