Heath Lodge Care Home in Holt recently transformed an otherwise rainy day into a heartwarming celebration, marking their entry into the Danforth in Bloom competition. The garden party was originally planned for the outdoors, but the wettest day in August couldn't dampen their spirits. Instead, the festivities moved inside, filling the home with joy and laughter.
Residents, along with their families and friends, joined in the fun with vintage fayre games spread throughout the beautifully decorated interior. Classic games like splat the rat, beat the buzzer, hook a duck, flamingo hoopla, coconut shy, vintage bowling, and a giant connect 4 brought smiles to everyone's faces. Prizes were awarded to the lucky winners, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day.
The culinary team delighted everyone with an assortment of delicious cakes and refreshing drinks, ensuring that the party had a warm and welcoming atmosphere despite the weather.
A special moment of the afternoon was when everyone gathered in the lounge to view a short video showcasing the transformation of Heath Lodge's courtyard. This stunning makeover is the home's proud entry into the Danforth in Bloom competition. The video highlighted the hard work and dedication of both staff and residents, showcasing the beautiful, serene space they've created together.
The event proved that, rain or shine, Heath Lodge remains a place of joy, community, and excellent care. Families left with happy hearts, confident that their loved ones are in the best possible hands.
Heath Lodge and the Danforth Care Homes group continue to prioritise the well-being and happiness of their residents, making every day a special one.
