Waterhouse Manor in Fordham, Cambridgeshire, recently celebrated a delightful event that brought joy to both residents and staff. The care home launched its first-ever Garden Club, encouraging everyone to get their hands dirty in the most delightful way. With a perfect blend of enthusiasm, teamwork, and sunshine, the outdoor spaces at Waterhouse Manor have been given a beautiful new lease of life.
The event saw residents and staff coming together, sharing laughter and stories while actively participating in gardening activities. Their combined efforts resulted in the planting of four hanging baskets, filling the air with vibrant colours and fragrances. Additionally, three small planters were lovingly decorated, adding charm and character to the communal areas. They also refreshed four large planters, ensuring they stood out with fresh, lively blooms.
Everyone involved basked in the warm sunshine, enjoying the tranquil environment and the sense of accomplishment. This wonderful day was not just about beautifying the surroundings but also about nurturing relationships and creating memories that will linger in the hearts of all those who participated.
Waterhouse Manor's Garden Club opening marks the beginning of a cherished tradition, where nature and community spirit forge the perfect partnership.
