Exciting OOMPH! Virtual Concert Delights Residents at Rossendale House
Here at Rossendale House Care Home, we are enthusiastic about integrating OOMPH! activities to enhance our residents' experiences. With a grey, rainy day outside, we decided to gather in the cinema room for a special virtual concert.
In the afternoon, our care staff and lifestyle team intrigued residents with hints of a mystery guest appearing on screen. Curiosity piqued, many residents joined us in the cinema room to discover who the guest would be.
The cinema was transformed with OOMPH! projected across the screen. Emily, our lifestyle lead, announced that the "mystery guest" would be performing virtually. Alan from Alan's Golden Classics treated our residents to a 45-minute concert, featuring songs spanning over 30 decades. This delightful performance sparked lively conversations among residents, reminiscing about their dancing days and favorite shows featuring these songs.
Throughout the afternoon, residents welcomed visitors who joined in the singing, dancing, and fun. After Alan's performance, residents applauded warmly and gathered to discuss the afternoon's highlights.
Residents were intrigued by how Alan performed virtually, prompting Emily to explain OOMPH! and showcase its capabilities. Our residents were amazed by the technology and enjoyed exploring more of what OOMPH! has to offer.
Danforth Care Homes are currently welcoming residents, If you or a loved one wish to find out more information or come along, explore the facilities, and meet the staff, you can do so by contacting the enquiry team.
