On the 4th April 2023, Broadlands Lodge Care Home opened its doors to the public in an open day that saw the community come together to meet the home’s manager, Tamara, view the luxury facilities, and enjoy a special performance from Bowfiddle and Strings.
Bowfiddle and Strings is an acclaimed classical ensemble that has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Buckingham Palace, Blenheim Palace, Goodwood House, Spencer House, Wallace Collection, Claridges, and Woburn Abbey. On this special occasion, they graced the home of Broadlands Lodge to the delight of all those in attendance.
The event was a huge success, with Tamara and the home’s staff receiving a warm welcome from the local community. All who attended were able to get a glimpse into the wonderful world of Broadlands Lodge Care Home, while being serenaded by the beautiful music of Bowfiddle and Strings.
The open day was a wonderful opportunity for the local community to get to know Broadlands Lodge Care Home and it’s staff, and to experience the wonderful music of Bowfiddle and Strings. It was a day to be remembered and celebrated by all. The residents were thrilled to participate in flower arranging activities, producing some beautiful bouquets.
Our other Easter highlights included an Easter Egg Hunt and making easter bonnets and shortbread biscuits with residents. Celebrations ended with a mouth-watering Sunday Easter Lunch with residents helping to make the cheesecake for the easter menu.
