Coronation Celebrations are Heath Lodge`s Crowning Glory.

A Coronation may be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many of us, so Heath Lodge Care Home decided to really push the boat out and celebrate it in style. 

The staff and residents set to work decorating the new care home and completely transforming it for the Coronation celebrations. A packed weekend of fun and celebrations was planned for the Bank Holiday Weekend. Residents watched the coronation event on the big screen in the cinema room and also enjoyed creative activities and fun and games on Saturday. All complemented by a delicious menu that was truly fit for a king. 

Sunday was a family day at Heath Lodge, with residents’ families and friends being invited in to share in an outdoor barbeque that even the weather couldn’t spoil. Residents all seemed to agree that this had truly been a weekend to remember.

Hazel Madden the newly appointed Care Home Manager for Heath Lodge was asked about the Coronation celebration. 
“These celebrations show Heath Lodge at its best. Supporting residents to live life to the full. So much work goes on behind the scenes to make events like this special to residents, but the team would not have it any other way. 
Providing high-quality person-centred care is my priority, you can’t beat the feeling of watching residents flourish and continue to enjoy life. I am dedicated to ensuring both staff and residents thrive in their environment.

Hazel has over 20 years of experience working in healthcare, starting her career in adult mental health before finally finding her true passion in elderly care.
 She completed her level 5 diploma in leadership and management last year and achieved a distinction which she is very proud of. 

In her spare time, she loves to travel and experience new things. She has been lucky enough to visit many beautiful countries over the years and soak up the sunshine. When she is not traveling she loves to spend time with family and friends.
