A Night of Fun and Community as Rossendale House Celebrate Oktoberfest

On October 11th, 2023, Rossendale House opened its doors for a unique and lively event, their very first Oktoberfest. The residents, staff, and visitors came together to celebrate in style donning their own lederhosen and put on a Bavarian celebration like no other.

The highlight of the evening was the culinary masterpieces created by the talented Head Chef, Louise. She prepared homemade pretzels that captured the essence of Bavarian cuisine. Her dedication to providing exceptional food for all the events held at Rossendale House was on full display, as she put her heart and soul into every bite.

To complement the delicious pretzels, residents enjoyed a selection of German beers, bratwurst sausages, and homemade condiments. The menu was not just a feast for the palate but a celebration of culture and tradition.

The living room was transformed for the event, exuding an Oktoberfest atmosphere, and the residents embraced the spirit with enthusiasm. Photo props added an extra layer of fun, allowing residents to capture memories of the evening. They danced and sang along to the live performance by the talented and charming Lois Devere, who ensured the night was filled with laughter and joy.

Louis, the performer, had residents on their feet, dancing and singing throughout the entire show. He quickly became a hit with the ladies, and his charisma added a touch of magic to the evening.

As Maureen exclaimed, "Louis was really good, and I didn't expect to be offered a dance, although I really enjoyed it." Brian shared a light-hearted observation, saying, "He didn't know he had a twin when he discovered him, and Gareth, our care manager, were wearing matching outfits."
