Gaynor has dedicated 37 years to the healthcare sector, specializing in the care of older adults. She began her career as a care assistant in a nursing home and went on to complete her nurse training, becoming a Registered General Nurse (RGN), a qualification she continues to hold.
Throughout her career, Gaynor has worked in both Ireland and England, gaining extensive experience in regulatory and quality improvement roles. While working with Nursing Homes Ireland (NHI), the Irish equivalent of Care England, she collaborated closely with legislators, regulators, and ministers to ensure that care for older adults remained a priority in government policy. Gaynor also supported 350 NHI members with regulatory, legislative, and quality initiatives.
Gaynor's expertise includes turnaround projects, troubleshooting, change management, care consultancy, commissioning, and driving quality improvement initiatives. She is passionate about the sector, valuing the opportunity to directly influence and improve the quality of care while forming connections with the remarkable individuals living in the homes she supports.
