Wishes do come true at Heath Lodge

When a resident hangs a wish on the wish tree, the care home team at Heatherton House will go above and beyond to try and grant it. These wishes can be big or small.

Our beautiful wishing tree arrived at Heath Lodge this week.  Residents decorated it by hanging wooden ornaments on the tree which had their individual wish written on the back. 

Residents at Heath Lodge, love to craft, and this brought some special meaning to their painting session, as well as promoting positivity and wellbeing. It certainly warmed the staff’s hearts to read all their wishes. 

Dolly wished for the world to be a better place and Margaret wished for plenty of chocolate cake! We will be adding more wishes to the tree in coming weeks.

Our Lifestyle Manager Storm said, ‘it was lovely to see the residents painting something different that had a purpose, I found they really enjoyed it and its actually harder to think of a wish on the spot than you imagine!’
