The bear who is not named, travels to Germany on their first adventure!
Broadlands Lodge Care Home's ‘‘Stuffed with Love’’ bear embarked on an exhilarating journey to Germany alongside Sarah, the Front of House Manager, and her stepdaughter Savannah . The bear's adventure continued as it became a steadfast supporter at the JSKA Karate World Championships in Lubeck.
Undertaking a remarkable cross-country excursion, the bear commenced its travels by train, journeying to Stansted Airport. Elegantly settled at the Radisson Blu Hotel, the bear was all set to accompany Sarah and Savannah on a Ryanair flight to Hamburg. From there, the trio continued their voyage via train, finally arriving in the charming city of Lubeck.
In an awe-inspiring turn of events, Savannah shone brilliantly in the competition, clinching a remarkable achievement – a silver medal and two bronze medals. The bear stood by, a symbol of unwavering support and pride, as the victories were celebrated, and the achievements were etched into the annals of karate history.
The journey of Broadlands Lodge Care Home's ‘Stuffed with Love’ bear had transformed into an odyssey of triumph, unity, and shared accomplishments. As the bear returned home to Broadlands Lodge, it carried with it not only the memories of an incredible journey but also the spirit of perseverance and the joy of witnessing extraordinary achievements.
The tale of the bear's voyage to the JSKA Karate World Championships will forever remain a cherished chapter in the legacy of Broadlands Lodge Care Home – a testament to the remarkable individuals who make up its vibrant community and the indomitable spirit that binds them together.
All the proceeds raised from the “Stuffed with Love” will be donated to the Scotty's Little Soldiers; a local charity which Broadlands Lodge is proudly supporting. If you wish to name the bear, please come along to Broadlands Lodge Care Home, or look out for our social media as to where they will be in the coming weeks.
