Rossendale House Celebrates Its First Anniversary in Style
To mark the first anniversary since Rossendale House welcomed its first resident, a sophisticated evening of live entertainment, fizz, canapés, and good company was organised. Preparation began on Monday, coinciding with the home's pamper day. Residents enjoyed haircuts and manicures, anticipating the event with excitement.
Thursday morning featured a heartwarming slideshow of photographs from the past year, creating a lovely atmosphere as residents reminisced and applauded Emily for her efforts. In the afternoon, some residents rested while others helped decorate the reception area, enjoying a sense of purpose.
The evening event, inspired by a cruise ship's formal night, began at 5 PM with the arrival of Rachel, the singer from Rossendale's opening day. The reception area, decorated with black and gold, provided perfect photo opportunities. Families joined residents for a night of music, laughter, and community spirit.
Residents sang along to classic ballads and showcased their dance moves to "Dancing Queen" by ABBA. After the event, Emily received heartfelt thanks from residents, who enjoyed the evening immensely.
Danforth Care Homes are currently welcoming residents, If you or a loved one wish to find out more information or come along, explore the facilities, and meet the staff, you can do so by contacting the enquiry team.
