Primrose House embarked on a new and exciting venture over the weekend with its very first auction event. Spearheaded by the dedicated activity manager, Rachel, residents had the opportunity to participate in a unique bidding experience, showcasing their keen eye for treasures.
Preparations for the auction began with a scavenger hunt through the local high street, where Rachel scoured for hidden gems to be put up for bidding. With a diverse array of items ranging from ornaments to games, there was something for everyone to explore and delight in.
Instead of traditional currency, residents were provided with tokens to use for bidding, creating an inclusive and engaging atmosphere. As bidding commenced, residents eagerly raised their cards, entering into friendly competition and sharing in the excitement of the event.
The auction proved to be a resounding success, with residents eagerly discussing items and strategizing their bids over refreshments. The enthusiasm was palpable as residents expressed their enjoyment and anticipation for future auction events.
Margaret, one of our residents, shared her delight, remarking, "I don't think I've ever been to an auction before! It was really good fun, and I hope we can do another one soon."
Encouraged by the overwhelming response, Primrose House looks forward to hosting future auction events, continuing to foster a sense of community, engagement, and enjoyment for all residents.
