Pear Tree House Joins Forget Me Not Coffee Morning
In a heartwarming display of community engagement, Jo and Babs from Pear Tree House recently attended the Forget Me Not Coffee Morning at Marton URC in Blackpool. This dedicated coffee morning serves as a supportive space for individuals living with dementia and those providing care and support for them.
The Forget Me Not Coffee Morning proved to be an enriching experience, offering a range of activities designed to enhance the well-being of attendees. One of the highlights of the morning was the engaging jigsaw activities, capturing the attention and enthusiasm of Babs. With a little assistance, Babs completed an impressive three jigsaws, showcasing the therapeutic and enjoyable nature of these puzzles.
The gathering also included a lively sing-along session, where participants had the opportunity to showcase their musical talents using various instruments. The communal spirit of the event provided an uplifting atmosphere, fostering connections and creating joyful moments for all involved.
While the coffee morning features a raffle with enticing prizes, Jo and Babs, in the spirit of generosity, brought prizes to contribute to the event. Although they weren't able to participate in the raffle on this occasion, the intention to join future raffles with a monetary contribution is a testament to their commitment to supporting community initiatives.
Pear Tree House's involvement in the Forget Me Not Coffee Morning reflects a dedication to creating meaningful and inclusive experiences for residents. By actively participating in community events focused on dementia support, Pear Tree House not only contributes to the broader community but also provides residents with opportunities for engagement, stimulation, and the joy of shared moments.
The coffee morning experience is one that Jo, Babs, and potentially more residents look forward to attending in the future, strengthening the bonds between Pear Tree House and the broader community dedicated to dementia care and support.
