Old Norse Lodge Raise £120 to Support Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club
Old Norse Lodge was the host of an outstanding Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club on Sunday that received praise from veterans in attendance.
The special event was a way to thank the veterans of the area for their incredible service. Veterans were provided with a homemade breakfast to thank them for their commitment to service. The veterans enjoyed a hot breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and an array of beverages.
The residents and team of Old Norse Lodge were deeply moved and inspired by the veterans’ stories and experiences. They commented that it was a privilege and honour to be able to host the event.
Overall, the occasion was a tremendous success and everyone in attendance had a wonderful time. The veterans in attendance expressed their gratitude for being honoured with such a special event. Old Norse Lodge was pleased to be able to host such an amazing event.
Residents and their families applauded with exuberance as Eddie Soulfinger finished singing. Not only had the group been thoroughly entertained, but their presence had raised a sum of £120 for a special veterans' charity.
Soulfinger, a renowned local singer, donated his time to deliver his set-list for the occasion. His performance of soulful folk tunes was met with great enthusiasm, contributing to the uplifting atmosphere of the morning.
The Care Home’s manager Julie also took delight in seeing the residents so engaged in the event and expressing their appreciation for all those who attended and donated.
"We are so proud of the incredible work of all our wonderful staff and volunteers who helped make this event happen," she said. "It was lovely to see the residents and their families joining in the fun and the donation to the veterans' charity was a fitting way to round off the morning."
